Create A Personal Candida Cook Book And Food Journal

A candida cook book is a good idea for anyone who suffers from, or is prone to candida overgrowth. It is important that a candida sufferer takes every necessary precaution to avoid developing a fungal infection (Candidiasis) in their intestinal tract, mouth, skin, and genitals. The best way to control a Candida overgrowth is to follow a specific diet that does not encourage the development of bad gut bacteria or yeast.

However, before a candida cook book is started, you first need to create a food journal and carefully analyze your diet and find out which foods trigger candidasis, and those that done. You can then create an anti-candida diet based on your findings.

There are many foods that can cause an overgrowth in candida such as:

- Sugar in all it’s forms (refined, artificial, natural)
- Yeast food products – bread, pizza dough, breadcrumbs
- Refined grains – foods that are made with white flower (I.E. pasta, bread, cereal
- Smoked and cured food products – processed meat, bacon, sausage, etc.
- Beverages – Caffeinated coffee, tea, soda, beer, liquor, wine etc.
- Fermented food products – pickles, vinegar, soy sauce, etc.
- Dairy products – cheeses, cream, cows milk, etc.
- Peanut and peanut products
- And so on

Knowing what foods are considered safe to eat is just as important as knowing what to eliminate when creating a candida cook book. This is because, you need to know what food you can use to make healthy recipes you can enjoy and are fungal-free. Below is a brief list of foods most candida suffers can eat -

- Herbs and mild spices such as garlic
- Fresh vegetables – onions, carrots, cucumber, etc.
- Legumes – peas, beans, etc.
- Dairy – Butter, cottage cheese, yogurt
- Eggs and unprocessed, organic meat
- Oats such as porridge
- Whole grain products – rice, bread, etc.
- Oily fish such as mackerel, salmon, sardines, tuna, etc.
- Eggs
- Beverages – water, fresh fruit juice, herbal teas, fresh vegetable juice, such as pumpkin juice (Note: be careful with vegetable juices, as many of them, especially carrot contain plenty of sugar)

Keep in mind that some of the foods in the above list could aggravate candida symptoms. This is why it is imperative you create your own person food journal to determine what foods are best for you. Once you know what foods you can safely incorporate into your diet, you can begin creating you own candidia cook book by finding recipes that have “safe” ingredients.

Where can you find recipes? You can find recipes in special cooking books for candida in local and online bookstores. You can also find many recipes online by simply searching for the keyword “candida recipe”. An example of an excellent online site is Candidadiet. com.

Create a candida cook book

Once you find recipes, you’ll need somewhere to put them. You’ll find that creating your own cook book is an easy process. The following are the supplies you will need to create your own cook book include:

- 3-hole punched paper to manually record recipes
- Binder to store recipes
- 3-hole punch so you can print off recipes online and add them to your binder
- Pen/ pencil
- Dividers so you can divide your cook book into sections.

To keep your cook book organized, it’s a good idea to divide it into different recipe sections. You may find this suggestion helpful:

- Appetizers
- Salads
- Soups
- Sauces
- Main course
- Desserts
- Beverages

Finally, don’t forget that you can put your own chef abilities to the test and create your own yummy tasting recipes, and add them to your candida cook book as well.

Tasty Fast Fish Recipes

Fish is one of the most versatile foods. It can be cooked and prepared in a wide variety of different ways, tasting equally fantastic on its own or combined with other ingredients. One of the greatest advantages of cooking fish is the speed in which nutritious meals can be prepared. Fish requires very little cooking time which ever cooking method is used.

Supper dishes comprising of pan fried langoustine can be prepared and cooked within ten minutes. Fresh fast food at its very best. A wide range of other fish dishes can easily be cooked and ready to eat in twenty minutes.

The days of fish only being covered with batter, deep fried and served with chips or served to children in the form of fish fingers remains popular, however, fast to prepare and easy to cook a wide range of equally delicious but healthier options are widely available.

The introduction of cuisine from around the world provides varied and unusual ways to use fish as part of a sumptuous dinner or as a fast and nutritious family meal. From gourmet dishes with exotic fish as the main ingredient to sardines which are simply grilled, fish offers a wide and varied ways to be cooked. You do not have to be a skilled chef to create wonderful fish dishes.

The importance of using fish as part of a healthy diet is regularly reinforced by nutritional experts and dieticians. Fish is a great source of Omega 3 which is necessary to help reduce the risk of heart disease and help lower cholesterol. Studies have shown that Omega 3 can also be used to help treat depression and anxiety as well as a whole host of other medical conditions. In the past people found the benefits of taking cod liver oil syrup to help prevent colds and ease the pain and inflammation of arthritis. Nowadays, with Omega 3 rich fish available throughout the year the use of cod liver oil syrup is declining among those who eat fish on a regular basis. Dieticians and nutritionists recommend that fish should be eaten twice a week as part of a healthy diet, as long as it is not always served as battered deep fried traditional style fish and chips!

As fish has very few calories when baked or steamed it an ideal food to help weight loss. The natural goodness of fish and the ease in which it can be cooked provides the ideal protein source for people on a diet. Dishes such as pan fried sea bass cooked with chilli soy beans is just one of many delicious fish recipes that can be cooked and prepared within twenty minutes. The mouth, watering combination of sea bass with chilli, served with Pak Choy brings a taste of the Orient to a supper table in no time at all. Treat the taste buds of your family to beautiful fish dishes from around the world by using fish recipes which have been specially designed to make cooking and eating fish a real pleasure. Fish is a great way to bring variety into the diet in a very healthy way.

We caught a thresher shark yesterday and I’m trying to find a new sauce to make it with, either for BBQ, skillet, or oven. A surprize for my wife, to show that I can cook! LOL

Whatever you do keep it moist. I advice keeping it completely covered in a marinade while it cooks. Italian dressing is an easy one. Butter and olive oil each add a good flavor but calories. Onions, peppers and garlic add taste. So, combine your ingredients but keep it covered in the sauce so that there are no tough edges.

My suggestion is some fresh rosemary, garlic, butter and italian dressing. More butter for a richer flavor but more calories. You can’t go wrong with these ingredients.

1. The Ocean

A honeymoon by the beach is really what most of us want. Access to clear warm water, exciting snorkelling possibilities, and a beach to lounge on, completely de-stressing from normal life, are absolute essentials. Australia can offer all that and more. All of its major cities and towns are located on the edge of the country near the water, so you’ll never be far from the ocean. There is a fantastic surfing culture throughout the seaside towns and even if you don’t own the proper equipment, you can rent it at a very low price. Who could ask for more than discovering the underwater kingdom on their honeymoon with the person they love most in the world?

2. City Lifestyle

Australian cities offer a pseudo-European culture with pure outback charm. Your top city destination will of course be Sydney, Australia’s capital. The city is full of culture, with a number of fashionable restaurants and a lively nightlife. Shopping is a must here; you can even hire a stylist to accompany you to the hottest designer shops. If you have a bit more money, you can arrange to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge with a professional or take a luxurious cruise around the harbour.

3. Frontier Fun

Australia has a wonderful amount of untouched wilderness; much of its interior retains that frontier feel from the mid-nineteenth to early twentieth century. This is your best chance to spot some of Australia’s most exciting wildlife and you can even stay in an old-fashioned hotel. They will of course have all the luxury you might want, just in a rustic environment. If you want to enjoy the proper Australian Outback lifestyle on your honeymoon, you can stay on a cattle ranch, eating free-range beef and freshly caught fish cooked over an open flame.

4. Nature

Australia’s natural landscape is both beautiful and varied. You can explore so many different places, from the desert-like Outback to the rainforest to the beautiful undersea kingdom. There are many tour companies eager for your business with planned tours galore, so if you’re a bit nervous about venturing into a desert they will be able to ease all of your worries. You may even get the chance to see a kangaroo or a platypus in its natural habitat, especially if you head to Kangaroo Island.

5. Accommodation

On your honeymoon, your accommodation is of primary importance, for very obvious reasons. Australia has so many fantastic resorts that I can’t possibly single out just one. Accommodation ranges from the most expensive and exclusive hotels in Australia’s biggest cities to luxury tents in the middle of the Outback. You can go with a beach villa or an intimate room at a bigger resort. It’s really up to you and what you want to get out of your honeymoon.

Fresh Caught Fish Cooking Preparation

To maintain the delicate flavor of a newly caught freshwater or saltwater fish, this must be handled properly to avoid spoilage. Not to mention preserving the fish with pleasing odor. There are ways to properly prepare and maintain the quality just after the catch of the fish into a sumptuous fishmeal. Check out the tips below:

1) As soon as the fish lands avoid any contact with hard surfaces to prevent bruising. It should be washed immediately by hosing or bucket rinsing in order to remove the slime and possible bacteria that cause spoilage. Never use water from close proximity marinas, municipal or industrial discharges. To make sure, always use potable water instead.

2) Simply chill the fish to prevent deterioration in less than an hour. With a little advance planning, proper icing can be accomplished with the use of some relatively cheap equipment. Fish should be stored in coolers and should be well chilled. It should be 3″ deep, thus, covering a pound of fish with pound of ice. Use chlorinated water per quart of water for the final rinsing.

3) Clean the fish as soon as possible. Their tissues are sterile but not their scales, which contains many types of bacteria. When cleaning fish, avoid rough treatment because wounds in the flesh can allow the spread of bacteria. Gutting the fish does not have to be necessarily long. It is wise to cut the belly, as it leaves no blood or viscera in the body. Make sure not to soak cleaned fish fillets in a prolonged freshwater as this could reduce the meat texture and flavor.

4) The eating quality and nutritional value of fish can be maintained up to 5 days if properly cleaned. Washing of the hands before touching the fish is also important. No matter what fish and the cooking technique used, one golden rule is to be followed always. Whether it is whole or not, cook exactly 10 minutes for every inch measured. 15 minutes should be allotted to fish enclosed in foil or sauce baked. Double the time for frozen fish.

Allow extra time if fish will be baked while packed in an aluminum foil and allow extra time for the penetration of the heat. That should be an additional 5 minutes for fresh fish and 10 for frozen. In thawing frozen fish, slowly thaw in the fridge for 24 hours or let the wrapped fish be run under cold water not at room temperature. Do not thaw a fish that’s frozen before cooking as it may make it mushy and dry.

If you are just going to cook the fish without deboning it, you could freeze it whole. Although, I would always gut the fish and take off the head. Personally, I like to fillet my fish, and it is not really good to freeze the fish and then try to fillet it.

Choose Unique Containers When Making Gift Baskets

Gift baskets have become very popular gifts. They can be practical as well as delicious and beautiful. And, you can make them yourself and save some money.

Selecting the best unique containers is a good place to begin when planning to make gift baskets. Choose a container that is suitable for the number and type of items you plan on placing in the container. Keep in mind that the ideal gift basket appears to be overflowing with gift items and other goodies.

Get your creative juices flowing and choose a container that fits with your theme or the special occasion the gift basket is intended for. You may also want to use all one color such as the recipient’s favorite color. Or, if you are making a spa gift basket all one fragrance. For example; use a lavender or white container for a gift basket full of lavender soaps, candles, and other personal items.

Pails, tubs, and basins work well for themes such as barbecue, fishing, sports, or for a housewarming gift basket. These containers are rugged and the larger sizes can hold several cans or bottles of beer, soda, or other beverages. Later on, the recipient can use these unbreakable containers to chill beverages.

A planter, decorative pail, watering can, or a miniature wagon would each make a great container for a gardener or anyone who enjoys plants. This could be as a birthday gift, hostess gift, get well gift, as well as for any holiday or other special occasion. Great idea for grandparents who share the enjoyment of gardening.

Sand pails, dump trucks, lunch boxes, toy wagons, or small doll furniture pieces (cribs, carriages, strollers, etc.) are all suitable containers for young children.

Serving bowls, mixing bowls, colanders, casserole dishes, bundt cake pans, and similar items are wonderful containers for food gift baskets such as pasta, baking, and other cooking themes. These gift baskets make nice gifts for bridal showers, anniversaries, weddings, holidays, and many other special occasions.

For business related gift baskets a letter tray or other organizer would be useful containers. It’s nice to use shredded pages of the business section for filler materials to hold the gift items in place.

Popcorn containers work well for movie theme gift baskets or for anyone who loves popcorn. This is a great gift idea for teenagers or students going off to college. A pizza pan is another nice container for younger people; simply place a kitchen towel on the pan and place pizza making ingredients on the towel; wrap it in cello paper or other heavy gift wrap tied with lots of curly ribbon.

And then there are baskets: wicker, chrome, wire, and rattan. Some have no handles, others have two small handles, and some have one large handle centered above the basket (which can be stationary or moveable). Trays made of wicker with sides and handles at each end are yet another option. Think about how you will place the items and then choose the empty basket that best suits your needs and your budget.

If you have a limited budget, refresh a nearly-new wicker basket by swishing it in warm, soapy water; then rinse and allow to thoroughly dry. Another frugal idea is to keep your eyes open for wooden slat-type of crates. Some fruits, such as grapes, are shipped in wooden slat oval baskets with a wire handle; you might get one at no charge from a person who handles fresh fruits and vegetables.

Let’s talk a little about filler products as they go hand-in-hand with containers. There are two functions for fillers. One is inexpensive (floral foam or crumpled paper) and is used as a base to hold your gift items in place. This is necessary when your container is deep and your gift items will not be visible. The other filler will give your gift basket a decorate look. Purchased shred, straw, peanuts or mixed nuts in the shell, small silk flowers, and colorful wrapped candy are all good choices. Simply place small amounts between the items in your finished gift baskets.

TIPS:

If you plan to include heavy items, make sure the container has a sturdy bottom.

Use a paper shredder to make your own decorative filler materials by shredding brown paper, bags, old maps, sheet music, comics, etc.

Choose a container with a handle when including a bottle of wine or other beverage. Anchor the bottle by attaching twine, ribbon, or raffia to neck of the bottle and also to the basket handle.

What do you think of the Hells Kitchen finale ?

I feel bad for Paula. I think she deserved to win over Danny and I think that chef Ramsay wanted to pick her, but Danny’s service was better. Paula got stuck with spacey Lacey and for some reason, Andrea was messing up on the fish station ( I do NOT think she was messing up on purpose, like Lacey did with EVERYTHING she touched!) LA also did a good job.

Giovanni was doing a crappy job for Danny as like he said in confessional he didnt give a F who won. I hope that Gio does not get his old job back, he dont deserve to be a chef he has a rotten attitude and is a sore loser. Lacey is just braindead. She works as a “Corporate Buffet Chef” and it shows in her lack of actually cooking or prepping anything because we all know that most of those all you can eat buffets is nothing but deep fried junk. The only “cooking” she probably does at her job is throwing frozen junk in a fry basket and dumping the basket into the fryer.

LMAO @ your thoughts on Lazy Lacey

this has been the best hells kitchen finally … thus far

i am very glad danny won – i do agree with ramsey though, it seemed like a tough decision since both were very good and consistent unlike the last season with petrozza and christina. It was evident that christina was going to win over petroza… petroza was always fcking up in the kitchen and was in the bottom a few times.

back to the finale:
giovanni did get on my nerves. He said that “he wanted to go home and he didnt care who would win” so then why did you agree to come for the finale? you sore loser!

lacey: haha god bless her. how she became a chef is beyond me .. she is a lazy quitter. btching about everything! grow up!

LA: I think she left before her time … but I was glad to see her

Ben: good to see that he was doing everything he could to give the best service for Danny.

Andrea: I think she was fcking up by mistake. She and Paula were good friends so I don’t think Andrea would purposely fck up dinner service so Danny could win.

It is wise to cut the belly, for more details visit to www.chicken-wing-cookbook.com as it leaves no blood or viscera in the body. Make sure not to soak cleaned fish fillets in a prolonged freshwater as this could reduce the meat texture and flavor.

4) The eating quality and nutritional value of fish can be maintained up to 5 days if properly cleaned. Washing of the hands before touching the fish is also important. No matter what fish and the cooking technique used, for more details visit to www.cat-head-biscuit.com one golden rule is to be followed always.

3 Ways To Cook Freshly Caught Fish

You can cook a freshly caught fish in dozens of ways. Most anglers have their unique style of cooking freshly caught salmon, trout, or any other fish. In fact, anglers all over the country are a rich source of information on how to cook freshly caught fish. The following tips will help you create mouth-watering dishes with the fish that you have just caught.

1. Fried Fish

One of the best ways to cook freshly caught fish is to bread it and fry it. The aroma of fish frying in butter is almost too good to be true, and the sight of a fisherman flipping his catch in the frying pan is awe-inspiring.

If you are an amateur, ensure that the butter is very hot, but not burning hot. Also, ensure that you have completely coated the fish with batter. You can season your batter with as much salt and pepper as you wish. In addition, you can also experiment with other spices and herb to produce a really srumptious dish.

2. Grilled Fish

At first, grilling seems to be the easiest method of cooking fish. An amateur, especially, might make the mistake of thinking that the experience of grilling fish is similar to that of grilling meat.

Amateurs will soon learn that fish tends to give some trouble when it is being grilled. It releases some juice when it is cooked, unlike chicken or steak. When you are grilling fish for the first time, you might let the delicious juice drip into the burning coals. This could reduce the quality of the dish you are preparing.

To avoid loss of moisture, give the fish a coating of oil. Oil serves to trap the moisture within the fish. Instead of giving the fish a coating of oil, you can pack it in an aluminum foil, which serves to prevent the loss of moisture from the fish. It also enables the marinating of fish in its own delicious juice. You can also put some spices and herbs inside the foil so that you can get grilled fish that tastes wonderful.

Keep a sharp watch on the fish and turn it over when it is half done. You can make a cut into the fish to find out the extent to which it is cooked. After flipping the fish over, watch it carefully, and remove it when it is perfectly cooked.

3. Baked Fish

If you don’t have the time to watch fish while it is cooking, you had better go in for baking. Prepare the marinade for the fish and heat your oven. Simply place the marinated fish into the pre-heated oven for a short while. You might have to check the fish from time to time in order to avoid overcooking.

Irrespective of the type of freshly caught fish, a good recipe coupled with skillful cooking can give you a simply delicious dish. Fish that is badly cooked can spoil your fishing trip. So take your time with regard to cooking the fish. The golden rule of cooking fish is not to overcook it because overcooking simply ruins the dish.
