Does anyone have the game Cooking Mama for Nintendo Wii?
I’ve seen it in magazine ads and it looks fun. I’d like to buy it but it’d be nice to hear what other people think of it first. I’m wondering:
Is it fun? Can my whole family (including children 6-10 yrs.) play? And what exactly do you do in the game?

I have it, and it’s a little fun, but the fun is short lived. After about 5 recipes, you’ve pretty much seen everything the game has to offer. The rest is just repeating the same actions over & over again, but in different order depending on the recipe. It’s not very rewarding, either. In one mode you can earn new items for your kitchen, but none of these items are particularly good incentives that would make the game any more exciting.
UPDATE: It does not teach you recipes. It only allows you to interact with some of the main ingredients in the international recipes.
In this day and age, most of us are searching for ways to simplify our lives, including making mealtimes easier to deal with and enjoyable for all in the family. It’s gotten to the point where many people have turned to frozen foodstuffs in order to save time and energy! I don’t know about you, but for me the mere thought of keeping a stock of frozen items, checking to see which ones are still fit to be used, all while planning 3 square meals is disturbing!
